Traditional Inn Dining

Both the restaurant menus, and ambiance, reflect the traditions of New England at the famous Publick House Historic Inn. The Historic Tap Room, with its post-and-beam ceiling and wide plank floors, serves up traditional Yankee fare for lunch and dinner. It’s Thanksgiving every day on the menu with a traditional roasted turkey dinner, as well as Yankee pot roast and other comfort food. Ebenezer’s Tavern, named after the inn’s founder, who entertained Revolutionary troops hearthside with culinary feasts and specialty drinks, offers generous portions of shepherd’s pie and chicken pot pie in an 18th-century atmosphere that includes comfortable couches near the fireplace and vintage brass beer taps. Both places also feature decadent desserts, fresh-baked in the Yankee ovens of the inn’s Bake Shoppe.
