Snow Tubing

Snow tubing is a jazzed-up version of the old flying saucers, but better.

Downhill ski areas and other outdoor winter sports or tubing centers offer safe tubing chutes, lifts, and sometimes lighting for night tubing.

Tubes are almost always available for rent.

It's smart to call ahead before heading out to a tubing center or mountain to determine snow conditions (some tubing areas do not make snow) and other important information, like minimum age and height limits and requirements for parental permission (often required for tubers under age 18).
