Less than a couple hours away from Boston, avid skiers and snowboarders will find themselves in the snowy landscapes of Massachusetts. One of our favorites is in Canton, MA - Blue Hills Ski Area. Just 10 miles from Boston, this ski area is an excellent area for families and relaxed skiing and is much more affordable than alternative options. Blue Hills also offers ski school and lessons, a season-long equipment leasing program, and a phone ahead program to find equipment ready to go when you reach the mountain.

The state of Massachusetts owns the ski area, which has been leased by numerous companies. A big revitalization began in 2007. Nice area for families and relaxed skiing; not expensive.
